Recycling: Lacrosse team meets you halfway

If Forsyth Park is located between your business or residence and Sonoco Recycling, you don’t have to haul your materials all the way down to the Gwinnett Street plant. According to The Chronicle, SCAD’s faculty/staff newspaper, the SCAD women’s Lacrosse team will accept donations of recyclable materials at Forysth Park on the first Saturday of every month through Jan. 5, 2008, and take the materials on to the Gwinnett Street plant.

“Drop-offs are accepted 9 a.m. - noon at a booth located at the south end of Forsyth Park in Savannah near the tennis courts. The team will accept No. 1 and 2 household plastics; green, brown and clear glass; newspaper; cardboard and aluminum cans. Please make sure to rinse the cans and bottles, and remove staples and glue from the cardboard.”
