Starland Farmers Market makes the news twice three times

The Starland Farmers Market made the Savannah Morning News twice this week. A story called “Country comes to town” was published on May 10. This morning’s paper featured a shorter item with the headline “Everything from (A)pples to (Z)ucchini.” There have been at least two previous attempts at sustaining an in-town produce market in Savannah since the early 90s.
The Starland market should provide a good resource for people who are trying to eat local. It’s slated to run every Saturday through November. More information is available Starland Farmers Market Web site.
Update: Savannah Morning News columnist Bill Dawers wrote about the market in the May 15 edition: Starland Farmers Market off to a running start.
