SCAD faculty and students as well as community leaders will lead hour-long sessions discussing sustainability, global warming and personal responsibility. The day will culminate with a “next-steps” session at 3 p.m. where ideas will be generated toward positive action in broad agenda brainstorming. Hour-long sessions provide the opportunity for all to participate in this event around regularly scheduled classes. Organized by the SCAD Council for Sustainability and Eco-practices. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, read the press release. The Teach-in will be held Thursday, Jan. 31 from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Trustees Theater, 216 E. Broughton St.

I go to SCAD Savannah and I am a film major. I’m interested in perhaps shooting at the event tomorrow on the 31st at Trustee’s. Just simple footage on digital video to show the organization and how environmentally sound the students and staff and community are on the topic. Perhaps interviews with students regarding sustainability and what our generation can do.
Thanks, Victor
