National Public Lands Day, the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy, is scheduled for this Sept 29. Savannah residents have a great opportunity to get involved this Saturday at Fort Pulaski. Join the Coastal Georgia Greenway and other local volunteers to work on an extension of the McQueen’s Island Rail Trail east toward the Lazaretto Creek bridge.
